Hawks 4-2 in Paris Hoops Tournament, take Second Place

The CHAAMP Hawks Varsity Boys traveled to Paris to play in the 2022 Paris Hoops Tournament over the past weekend, winning three out of four seeding games and a semifinal game before finally falling to the ETHS Chargers in the tournament final.

Rebels hold off Pirates in double-OT thriller

The Rivercrest Rebels and Pittsburg Pirates gave fans an early Christmas present in last Tuesday’s game – free basketball. When four quarters weren’t enough to determine a winner in this local showdown, the teams ended up needing two overtimes to decide things.

Nearing the Christmas break, the Rivercrest Rebels and Lady Rebels were searching for wins to make the break just a little more merry and bright. The Lady Rebels got that win in their next to last game before the break, rolling past North Hopkins, 61-34.

CH hoops teams both ranked, extend winning streaks

The Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils will both go into the holidays on a good note. The Lady Devils traveled to Central Heights recently for the Central Heights Holiday Hoopfest, bringing home the tournament title after finishing undefeated for the event.

Ranked Lady Tigers start district play 2-0

The state-ranked Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers kicked off district play the right way last week with two wins to open the slate. In Tuesday’s district opener, the Lady Tigers picked up a 55-38 win over Marshall. An early third quarter run put the game away for Mount Pleasant.

Brahmas fall in hardwood Morris County Showdown

Friday added another chapter in the family reunion/ rivalry that is Pewitt-Daingerfield, with the Tigers traveling to Pewitt to take on the Brahmas on the hardwood Friday.
