The Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils both added another win to their ledgers Tuesday – with only one of the teams playing. The eighth-ranked Red Devils traveled to Winona looking to extend their 17-game winning streak with a victory against the Wildcats.

The Mount Pleasant High School Cheerleaders participated in their final competition of first semester on Saturday, December 17 at the UCA Southwest Regional on the campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio.

MP soccer teams fall in season openers

The Mount Pleasant soccer teams both hit the road for their season openers, but both fell in tight matchups. The Tigers traveled to McKinney to take on the Boyd Broncos. The teams were deadlocked at the half but two second half goals pushed the Broncos past the Tigers, 3-1.

Harts Bluff squads both win 2023 openers

The Harts Bluff Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will each go into district play off the strength of victories in their first games of 2023. The Bulldogs traveled to Greenville Tuesday to take on Greenville Christian and picked up a 5332 win over the Eagles.

The Rivercrest Rebels and Lady Rebels closed out 2022 at home with the Lady Rebels playing twice and the Rebels playing once to end the year. The Lady Rebels took on a solid Paris Homeschool Lady Warriors squad at home Thursday evening.

Last week was a busy one on the hardwood at The Bluff as Harts Bluff readies for its first full varsity district schedule. Harts Bluff ’s boys and girls played games on back to back days, though not on the same days. The Lady Bulldogs kicked things off with a home matchup against Avinger.

In their first game back after Christmas, the Rivercrest Rebels traveled to Como-Pickton Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Rebels, a rough shooting day left them feeling less than merry and bright as the Eagles held off Rivercrest, 43-36.
