MPHS Tiger Dolls travel to Los Angeles

The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls have enjoyed the usual football games, playoff trips, basketball performances, and preparations for their annual spring show this year. But there has been one exciting moment they have been looking forward to all year—a spring break trip to Los Angeles.

Lady Rebels roll past Sulphur Bluff; Rebels fall to ‘Horns

Back on the field for the first time in 10 days, the Rivercrest Lady Rebels bounced back from a slow top half of the opening inning to right the ship in quick order. Rivercrest scored 11 times in the bottom of the first inning and ended the game after four innings to pick up an 18-3 win over Sulphur Bluff Friday.

Lady Tiger soccer rolls past Marshall, reaches playoffs

The Mount Pleasant Lady Tiger soccer team rolled past Marshall in their regular season finale, 9-0, and will represent 15-5A as the district’s fourth place team in the playoffs. After a 3-0 win at Longview and concluding the regular season with a 3-1 win on the road at Marshall, the Mount Pleasant soccer team will enter the playoffs as district champions. CHAAMP Baseball Starts Season 2-2

It’s springtime in Texas, and that means baseball. The CHAAMP Hawks began their season on March 3rd, and have rumbled out of the gate to wins over the Excel Christian Eagles and the Harts Bluff Bulldogs, as well as losses to the All Saints Episcopal Trojans and the Tyler Heat.

Rebels finish with 18 hits, rout Avinger, 23-1

It took a while for the actual game to start, but not nearly as long for the Rivercrest Rebels’ baseball team to get going during their rescheduled game against Avinger Wednesday. After Tuesday’s planned meeting was postponed due to wet field conditions, Wednesday’s game was delayed due to a lack of umpires.

Tigers go 1-1-1 in games last week

The Mount Pleasant Tiger baseball team had a week in which they not only experienced every general outcome to a game, they may have done so in a week that showcased every possible weather pattern. The Tiger finished last week 1-1-1 in their three games.
