Lady Rebels remain at top of district after win at Maud

A year after losing a district playoff for second place, the Rivercrest Lady Rebels are off to a fast start in the district slate. Rivercrest defeated the team who beat them in the district playoff last year, Detroit, to start the year and continued the slate on the road at Maud Tuesday evening.

Tiger Dominance Continues Over Pine Tree, 70-51

Mount Pleasant has not lost to Pine Tree since 2010 and nothing changed on Tuesday night as the Tigers took their 16th straight victory over the Pirates cruising to another double-digit victory.

Lady Rebels win district opener at Detroit

Last season, the Rivercrest Lady Rebels and Detroit Lady Eagles split their season series, with Detroit coming out on top in their district playoff for second place.

The Harts Bluff Lady Bulldogs came out on fire in their first UIL basketball district opener, taking on James Bowie to kick off the slate. Unfortunately, the Lady Pirates used a big second half run to pick up the win, 49-35.

Tiger soccer teams pick up wins in season opening tournaments

The Mount Pleasant soccer teams both completed their opening season tournaments over the weekend, with the Tigers finishing 1-1 and the Lady Tigers going 1-0-2. The Tigers traveled to Frisco for the Frisco Tournament. Mount Pleasant started their tournament against Amarillo Palo Duro.

MPJH basketball team wins Mount Vernon tournament

The girls 7th grade A team from Mount Pleasant Junior High School won the Mount Vernon Junior High basketball tournament on Saturday, January 7. The Lady Tigers defeated Mount Vernon 36-9, Dodd City 48-6, and Gilmer 53-7 to claim the tournament championship.
