The girls 7th grade A team from Mount Pleasant Junior High School won the Mount Vernon Junior High basketball tournament on Saturday, January 7. The Lady Tigers defeated Mount Vernon 36-9, Dodd City 48-6, and Gilmer 53-7 to claim the tournament championship. MPJH girls basketball is coached by Crystal Jackson, Genesis Alvarez, Taylor Bernal, Jasmine King, and John Winn.
