The Mount Pleasant Tigers wasted no time disposing of #25 state ranked 2A Wolfe City Tuesday night as they downed the Wolves 78-49. The win pushed the Tigers to the 20- win plateau for the fourth time in six seasons since head coach Joey Chism took over. This was the last non-district game for the Tigers as they prepare to face Texas High in their district opener at home Friday.

With the game being moved up due to incoming weather, the Lady Tigers played the Eagles tough on the road. A slow start saw the Lady Tigers trailing by as many as 6 points in the first quarter but a surge midway through the second put them within striking distance only down by 2. In the second half, it was a back and forth battle with 14 lead changes as the Lady Tigers closed the gap and pushed the game to overtime. Missed free throws down the stretch doomed the Lady Tigers in the overtime period.
