Gail May Kemp Walker of Simms, Texas passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 in Nash, Texas. She was 68.

High School in 1972, Harmon enlisted in the Navy where he served, receiving an honorable discharge. He then spent his career working in the food service industry throughout Dallas before semi-retiring. He was a security guard with United Protective Services when he passed.

Thomas Francis Sawyer, 75, of Mount Pleasant, TX, passed away on January 16, 2023 in Tyler, TX Tom was born in New York, New York to James and Mary Sawyer in 1947. He graduated from William-Cullen-Bryant-High School in 1965. He enlisted with the United States Navy, serving from 1965-1971. He married Jackie Miller-Sawyer on July 2, 2000, in Boca Raton, FL. He was the owner/ partner of Red Racing Custom Harley Shop in Boca Raton FL.

William Woodrow “Roe” Leatherwood, age 79, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Roe was born in Waynesville, NC on July 29, 1943, to the late Frank Jr. and Geneva McClure Leatherwood. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to Bluegrass and Gospel Music, eating sweets and good cold cut sandwich. Roe was a very good friend to a lot of people. He was kind and generous and never met a stranger, “by crackey”. He had special love for the Exceptional Children at Waynesville Middle School.

Joyce Hargrove Caldwell passed away on January 7, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1932 to Janet Blair and William c. Hargrove in Pittsburg, Texas. Joyce received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Education degree from East Texas State University. She was a Registered Dietician for the local hospital and for many nursing homes in the surrounding counties. She was a faithful member of the first Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of the Euterpean Club, and a member of the Junior Delphian Club. She enjoyed the Dallas Opera, traveling to 6 of the 7 continents, and singing in the church choir.

A Celebration of the Life of Bobby Glenn Alexander, Jr., 62, of Mt. Pleasant will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant with Doctor Clint Davis officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.

Michael Glen Lane, age 64, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. He was born to Luther and Joyce Lane on November 11, 1958, in Tyler, Texas. Michael was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish. He loved his family and was a longtime member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He will be greatly missed.
