Billy Gene Munn, age 91, of Lone Star, TX, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Billy was born on July 23, 1932 in Scroggins, Texas to Kyle and Lois Munn. Billy married Carol Harmon on September 5, 1959 in Gulf Port, Mississippi. He served in the Navy and was an owner and operator in the trucking industry.
Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol Munn of Lone Star, TX; sons; JM Munn and wife Betty Munn of Fairhope, AL, daughter, Becky Pienaar of Sulphur Springs, TX, sister, Nelwyn Metting of Victoria, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Christopher Scott Penny and wife, Jeana Penny, children; Bryce Mcqueen, Emmerson Penny, and Dax Penny of McKinney, TX; Trenton Munn and wife, Treasa Munn, children; Dawson, Weston, Aspyn, Josiah, Canon and Ezra Munn of Canton, TX; Trevor Munn of Nashville, TN; Hannah Munn, and child; Koen Munn of Grayling, MI.
Billy was proceeded in death by his son, Greggory Kyle Munn and sister, Laura Yvonne Floyd.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
