Alfred E. Cannon

Memorial Service for Alfred E. Cannon, 83, of Omaha, will be 1:00 P.M Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Tumey Mortuary Chapel, under the direction of Tumey Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Mr. Cannon died February 28, 2024 in Omaha. He was born January 30, 1941in Naples, Texas to James and Ellen (Harris) Cannon. He was a graduate of Carver High School, Omaha/Naples. He worked at Pilgrim’s Pride for over 20 years in Parts delivery, 40 years at Sears in Dallas and also worked security for Atlas Roofing and Shingles, Naples, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Harris, Will and Clyde Cannon; seven sisters Edwina Scales, Mildred Fields, Mary Ewell, Jimmy Payne, Peggy Dixon, Ida Gaston, Eunice Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Geraldine Cannon of Omaha, Texas; his sons Todwyn (Penny) Cannon of Dallas, Texas, Roderick (Yuana) Cannon of DeSoto, Texas, Michael Cannon of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one daughter Starla Cannon of Oakland, CA; 7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
