Only the beginning: HB volleyball wins first district game

The Harts Bluff Lady Bulldog volleyball team needed only three days after the first district game in school history to snag the first district victory in school history. Friday at Bulldog Gymnasium, the Lady Bulldogs picked up a 3-0 win (25-11, 26-24, 25-16) for the team’s first-ever district win.

Texas High wins battle of Tigers over MP, 58-27

For several years, Texas High has managed to be both the hunters and the hunted. Year in and year out, the Tigers of Texarkana have been the hunters for trophies not only in district, but also the state.

Tiger Basketball releases 2022-23 schedule

Head Coach Joey Chism and staff have released the 2022-23 schedule for the Mount Pleasant Tiger basketball program. Tickets will once again be available for purchase online. The Tigers finished last season with a 24-10 overall record, including a 9-3 mark in district play.

Lady Tiger Golf sinks season opener

The Mount Pleasant Lady Tiger golf team opened the fall season on Monday with their first tournament of the year held at Mount Pleasant Country Club. The Lady Tigers defended their home turf taking 1st place overall with a team total of 357.

Lady Brahmas in playoff position at end of first round of district

The Pewitt Lady Brahmas have battled in the first half of the district slate. With one match to go before the second round of district begins, the Lady Brahmas sit in fourth place behind Atlanta, New Boston and Hooks – the three teams to defeat them in loop play thus far.

Turnovers fuel second half surge as Hooks holds off Pewitt

Any proud team that feels snubbed will play with a chip on their shoulders. Going into the football season, most of the discourse in the new 10-3A Div. II centered around two teams: Pewitt and DeKalb.
