Lady Rebels battle with ranked SA, fall just short Friday

It was truly a playoff game that could boast it had everything. A power outage, teams fighting back from the precipice of elimination on multiple occasions, an enthusiastic crowd and a match literally played in the midst of a storm.

Going down swinging: CH battles with Atlanta in playoffs, falls 3-1

The Chapel Hill Lady Devils knew that they had a test in their first playoff volleyball game in two years, taking on an Atlanta team that reached the regional tournament last season. Atlanta had won 23 games going into the playoffs, including 15 in a row.

Lady Rebels sweep L-K in bi-district round, took on San Augustine Friday

Back on August 25, the Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers defeated Rivercrest in an early season tournament, 2-0. The two teams met again Sept. 16 in Linden and Rivercrest picked up a 3-0 win.

CHAAMP kicks off season strong with blowout victory

The CHAAMP Hawks Varsity Men’s basketball squad started their season with a big win Tuesday, blowing out the Tyler Classical Academy Eagles 93-12. The Hawks burst out of the gate to a 24-1 lead after the first quarter, and made it 44-8 by the time halftime arrived.

Brahma win over Chisum, Redwater loss to DeKalb means Pewitt playoff berth

The record may not be what fans and observers are accustomed to, but the outcome is. The Pewitt Brahmas, going through one of the roughest seasons in school history, won their final two games and got the outcomes they needed in order to keep the “Running of the Bulls” going into the playoffs.
