MPHS Powerlifting competes in Lindale

The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Powerlifters opened their season on Thursday, January 19 in Lindale while the Lady Tigers were seeing action for the second time this year. The Lady Tigers closed out the night with a 2nd place finish as a team with the Tigers placing 6th.

Lady Bulldogs sink Lady Pirates; HB boys fall at JB

With its proud tradition on the hardcourt, Harts Bluff is looking to make an impact in their first UIL district season. To that end, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs traveled to Simms Tuesday to take on James Bowie looking to improve their standings in the district race.

Tigers match win streak record, dispose of Whitehouse 62-28

The Mount Pleasant Tigers continue to make an imprint on the record books as more milestones draw closer. Recently, senior guard Kelcey Morris reached 1,000 career points and senior guard Payton Chism surpassed the 1,500 career point plateau.

The Mount Pleasant swim teams finished fourth (girls) and fifth (boys) at the District 15-5A Swim Meet, held last Saturday at the Texarkana Aquatic Center. Sophie Greco advanced to regionals for the third straight year, advancing in the 100-meter backstroke and 50-meter freestyle.

Thursday, January 12 was a first for the MPHS Lady Tiger Powerlifting team as they hosted their first ever dual meet with neighboring Sulphur Springs. The two are familiar foes as they have competed against each other in 5A Region 3 for the past 10+ years.
