The CHAAMP Hawks men’s Varsity basketball squad traveled to Monroe, Louisiana, this past weekend to take part in the 2023 Gulf Coast District Tournament, a National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championship (NCHBC) event.

The Rivercrest squads returned home for a big early matchup against Clarksville Friday evening. For the Lady Rebels, it was an opportunity to pull into first place on their own in the district standings.

Tigers Catch Fire, Subdue Lions 83-50

The Mount Pleasant Tigers wrapped up the first round of district play in style on Friday posting their best offensive output of the season. The Tigers shot 52% (14-27) from behind the arc and 60% overall in a route of second place Tyler High to finish 7-0 halfway through district play.
