Wallace Middle School hosts 27th annual Veterans Day program

The P.E. Wallace Middle School gym was filled with love and admiration for our veterans on Monday, November 11. The Wallace Middle School 27th annual Veterans Day program honored local veterans with lunch, music, gifts, and moments of appreciation.
Varsity player #4 Issac Bailey selected Mrs. Misty Lake as his “Game Changer” award recipient for a teacher of influence and impact on his life. She will be honored during the home game vs Quinlan Ford. All varsity basketball players will select a “Game Changer” honoree and they will be honored at home games throughout the season.

Mount Pleasant High School crowned the Homecoming King and Queen during pregame on Friday, November 1. The Homecoming King, Tanner Marshall, is the son of Judd and Courtney Marshall. The Homecoming Queen, Karina Torres, is the daughter of Neftali and Consuelo Torres.
The 7th grade Tiger football team won the district championship on Tuesday, November 5, capped off with an undefeated season. They are coached by Will Hallonquist, Jared Elliott, Jakeivian Hughes, Hugo Uribe, Josh Morris, Jackie Ouzts, Ira Franklin, and Joel Guerrero. COURTESY PHOTO

The Mount Pleasant High School Goin’ Gold Band competed against 16 bands at the Battle for the Spear Marching Classic at Winnsboro High School on Saturday, October 19. At the end of prelims, MPHS received Outstanding Winds and Outstanding 5A Band awards.
