MPJH Cheerleaders qualify for National competition

The Mount Pleasant Junior High cheerleaders competed in an NCA Virtual competition in November with the goal of qualifying for Nationals. NCA virtual competitions allow programs to submit recordings of their routines to be scored by an NCA trained judging panel.

Tiger Dolls collect items for Communities in Schools

For the fifth year in a row, the Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls shared their love for their classmates by donating personal care items to the Communities in Schools (CIS) program at MPHS.

Wallace Middle School holds National Elementary Honor Society induction

P. E. Wallace Middle School held its National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) induction ceremony on Thursday, November 14 in the P.E. Wallace gym. Eighty-two sixth graders were inducted as new members of the Wallace NEHS Chapter.

MPHS choir students advance to area auditions

Seventeen All-Region Choir students from Mount Pleasant High School participated in Pre-Area auditions on Tuesday, November 19 at the Mount Pleasant High School Performing Arts Complex, performing 3 selections for the audition. Nine have advanced to Area auditions in January.

The Harts Bluff Bulldogs traveled to Avery last week to compete in the Avery 7-11 Tournament. On Thursday, the bulldogs defeated Bloomburg 5237 and Leverett’s Chapel 42-28. On Friday, the boys stayed perfect by beating Maud 36-24 and then taking down Dodd City 35-16.

Christian Homeschool Athletics Association Mount Pleasant (CHAAMP) varsity volleyball team traveled to Lawrence, Kansas, October 17-19 to participate in the National Christian Homeschool Volleyball Championship. 174 teams faced off for two ultimate gold ball perpetual trophies in two divisions.

MPHS Cheerleaders earn bid to Nationals

The Mount Pleasant High School Cheerleaders competed in the UCA North Texas Regional qualifier in Mesquite on Sunday, November 10th. MPHS competed in the Super Varsity Non-Tumbling Game Day division finishing in 3rd place, only .1 back from second place.
