MPFD begins annual fire hydrant maintenance April 22

  All hydrant maintenance will be conducted between 8 a.m. and noon on weekdays. Watch the City Website and Facebook for maps showing areas of work and avoid washing clothes during this time frame to avoid possible discoloration.

MPHS Electrical students win awards, scholarship, and job at state

Mount Pleasant High School Electrical Technology students competed in the SkillsUSA Texas Leadership and Skills Conference in Corpus Christi on April 3-6. MPHS dominated the competition earning a Best of Show, a 2nd place, two Superior blue ribbons, and a scholarship and job offer.

Theatre Department presents “Antigone Now” April 25-27

he Northeast Texas Community College Theatre Department will present Antigone Now, a modern take on the classic Greek drama, Thursday through Friday April 25-27 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus. Performances will be held nightly at 7:30 p.m. with an added 2:30 p.m.
