Tigers win opener over Tyler, 54-40

Body
A strong defensive first half put the Tigers ahead in their home opener last week as Mount Pleasant never trailed to get their first win of the season against Tyler. With many of the Tiger basketball team fresh off the football field, the Tiger offense wasn’t necessarily firing on all cylinders, but it did enough to take a 27-12 lead at half. Mount Pleasant pushed the lead to as many as 20 points late in the third before Tyler tried to get back in the game in the waning minutes but ran out of time.
