Mt. Pleasant drops Area Round to South Oak Cliff, Closing a Landmark Season of Renewal

Mt. Pleasant entered Thursday’s area playoff matchup facing one of the state’s premier 5A programs in South Oak Cliff, a team ranked among the top in Texas and carrying an 11–1 record. Yet from the opening series, the Tigers showed that they were not intimidated by reputation or rankings.

The MPHS Tigers have been named the KLTV Team of the Week for the first time in school history! Sports Director for KLTV 7, Michael Coleman, brought the team this week’s game ball and interviewed Coach Cluley this morning. The story airs tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.

It was a night of redemption and celebration at Sam Parker Field as the Mt. Pleasant Tigers capped off an impressive district run with a statement victory over the Hallsville Bobcats, 50-3, on Senior Night.

MPHS golf brings home 1st place medals from Sulphur Springs

The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger and Lady Tiger golf teams played at the Sulphur Springs Country Club on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.The Tigers had their best tournament of the year on Monday, shooting 306 that was good for a 2nd place team finish.

Three CHAAMP (Christian Homeschool Athletics Association Mount Pleasant) athletes signed Letters of Intent to continue their volleyball careers in college this season. All three students traveled to their college of choice for the signing, where they bonded with their future teams.
