On a Halloween night showdown in Dragon Stadium, the Mt. Pleasant Tigers delivered a statement performance, taming the high-powered Nacogdoches Dragons, 48-21, behind a dominant defensive effort and an impressive offensive display from senior quarterback Carter Cook.

Mount Pleasant native Vincent Rodriguez, a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and current student at The University of Texas at Tyler, has accomplished one of the most demanding athletic feats in the world— completing the Ironman triathlon.

MPHS golf brings home medals from The Links at Lands End

The MPHS Tiger and Lady Tigers golf teams played at Links at Land’s End golf course on Wednesday, October 15.For the Lady Tigers, senior Kylee Strickland finished in 1st place overall, shooting a 75.The Tigers finished in 2nd place overall as a team.
Congratulations to MPHS junior, Alexia Hawkins, who qualified for the UIL State Cross Country Meet today! The Lady Tigers ran in the Regional meet today in Arlington with Alexia finishing 18th out of 172 with a personal record time of 19:36! She was the 6th individual qualifier after team qualifications. Alexia will run in the State Meet in Round Rock on Friday, October 31! Courtesy Photo

The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team continued their fall season at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Wright Patman on Saturday, October 4. MPHS had 11 boats on the water with ten of those reeling in fish.

The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Swim team opened its season at the 9th annual Grace Cougar Invitational at the East Texas Aquatics Center in Tyler on Saturday, October 4. Eleven schools participated entering 2-3 swimmers in each event.
