Lady Devils fall to Martins Mill; Devils roll past Lindale

The Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils both played at home for the first time in the young basketball season Tuesday night as the Lady Devils met Martins Mill and the Devils took on Lindale. In the girls’ game, the Lady Devils battled, but Martins Mill was on fire from behind the three-point arc as the Lady Mustangs won over the Lady Devils, 56-30.

NTCC Rodeo finishes Fall season

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo has concluded the Fall Season for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region with a trip to the Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas November 9-11. The Eagle Men’s Team came away with several points and finished in third place as a team.

Lady Tigers, Lady Devils split openers

Starting the season state-ranked after runs to the regional tournament last season, the Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers and Chapel Hill Lady Devils jumped into the deep end of competition early in the season, with both teams meeting teams that also made the playoffs last season in their respective season openers.

Mount Pleasant High School students tour Texas A&M—Commerce

Seniors in the Mount Pleasant High School Career and Academic Planning (CAP) class toured Texas A&M—Commerce on Friday, November 3. The students were informed of the requirements for acceptance and following an overview presentation of the college, they toured the campus and explored the different programs available at the school.

State-ranked Lady Devils hold on in opener

Chapel Hill held off the Lady Dragons for a 42-39 win, the team’s first under new head coach Bryan Braddock. The Lady Devils played at Tyler High Friday evening and will play at home Tuesday against Martins Mill.

MPHS golf plays at Mount Pleasant Country Club

Mount Pleasant High School Tiger golf played their last tournament of the fall season at the Mount Pleasant Invitational on Monday, November 6 with the Tigers shooting 370 as a team. Leading the way for the Tigers was Jacob Baker with a 73 which tied him for 3rd place overall. Brandon Carter followed with an 81, Alessandro Greco 100, and Prestyn Joyner a 116.
