CHAAMP subvarsity squads split games with ETHS

The CHAAMP 14U and 16U teams hosted East Texas Homeschool Sports (ETHS) Monday evening, splitting the two matchups. The 14U Hawks fell short against the Chargers in a high-pitched game, 28-26, after CHAAMP’s apparent game-tying bucket was ruled to have been released after the final buzzer.

Devils win 2 on road last week, kick off 2nd road trip this week

The Chapel Hill Red Devils hit the road over their Thanksgiving break and returned home with two wins to go with their Thanksgiving leftovers. The Devils took on Sabine in the Martin’s Mill shootout, shooting 48 percent as a team on their way to a 67-47 win over the Cardinals.

Brahmas claim 17 spots, 3 superlatives on all district team

After a rough start to the season and a comeback to make the playoffs, the Pewitt Brahmas claimed three superlative awards and 17 total spots on the District 10-3A Div. II all-district team, announced last week. Junior Bralyn Nix was named District Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Lady Rebels 2nd at Bland Invitational; fall to Saltillo, Chisum

The Rivercrest Lady Rebels traveled to Merit over the weekend for the 28th annual Bland Invitational Tournament, going 2-1 and finishing second in the tournament.

Lady Tigers roll to 8-0 start, Crandall Tournament title

The Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers have kicked off the 2022-23 basketball season with an 8-0 record, claiming the Crandall tournament title this past weekend. Mount Pleasant traveled to Gladewater Tuesday and picked up a 78-27 win over the Lady Bears.

The CHAAMP Hawks Varsity Men’s basketball team defended their home floor in Winfield on Friday night with a hard fought 63-57 victory over the Tyler Heat. The Heat, a rival homeschool squad and district opponent, jumped out to an early 4 point led to begin the contest.
