CHAAMP falls in district tournament, salvages 3rd place

Body
The CHAAMP Hawks suffered a disappointing end to the 21-22 basketball season this past Saturday, finishing in third place in the first annual NTAA District Tournament. The Hawks lost to the eventual tournament champion King’s Academy Knights in their first game of the day. The game was hotly contested, the Knights leading at halftime 24-21, and leading after the third quarter 35-30. The Hawks were forced to intentionally foul late in the contest, and the Knights made their free throws to swell the margin of victory to 51-40, a final score that does not entirely accurately reflect the nature of the game. CHAAMP crushed the competition in the consolation bracket, routing the CHESS Knights and Full Armor Christian Academy on their way to third place.
