After a historic season that saw the team win 35 games, three tournament championships, a third consecutive district championship and advance to the regional tournament, the Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers were recognized for their stellar season by the coaches of District 15-5A.

The awards and recognition have started to come in for the Mount Pleasant Tiger basketball team after finishing their season ranked #4 in class 5A with an overall record of 34-1. The District 15-5A All-District teams and superlatives were recently released with black and gold written all over them.

Lady Tiger Softball splits tournament in final tuneup

The Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers went 3-3 in the Wylie Tournament this past weekend with wins over Sachse (15-4), Plano (5-2) and Frisco Lonestar (3-0). Their three losses came against Rockwall (5-4), Wylie East (3-1) and Lubbock Cooper (9-2).

MPHS Lady Tiger Powerlifters set multiple records qualifying five for state

Thirteen individual Lady Tiger Powerlifters arrived at the Regional meet with a singular goal of making it to State. On the way, they would set multiple records, the first being a school record of five advancing to the State Meet.

Triple threat: extra innings triple pushes Rivercrest past Pittsburg

The two teams played on even terms most of the night, but the Lady Rebels battled back twice – once to send the game into extra innings and once to win in the bottom of the eighth as Rivercrest picked up a 5-3 win over Pittsburg.

Red Devils, Lady Devils recognized on 13-3A All-District team

After a successful season on the hardwood at Chapel Hill that saw one team advance to the region II championship game and saw another win 29 consecutive games, the coaches of District 13-3A recognized the Red Devils and Lady Devils with the release of the all-district teams Monday.
