Three local basketball players were recently named to play in all-star games over the next few weeks. Rivercrest’s Selena Kelley was named to the West Team for Saturday’s Azalea Orthopedics All-Star Basketball Classic, set for 5:30 p.m. at Tyler Junior College’s Wagstaff Gymnasium.

Thanks to the weather, the Rivercrest Lady Rebels needed a few tries to get in their game against Sulphur Bluff. Initially slated for Saturday, the game was moved to Monday afternoon after Friday’s showers ensured the field remained damp over the weekend.

The Harts Bluff and Rivercrest junior high track teams participated in the District 16-2A Junior High Track Meet, hosted by Rivercrest Monday afternoon. The seventh grade Rebels won the district title for the second consecutive time and the Bulldogs finished third.
