CHAAMP runner up at Southwest Homeschool Classic

The CHAAMP Hawks varsity baseball team traveled to the greater Dallas area to participate in the Southwest Homeschool Classic tournament this past weekend. The Hawks lost their first two games of the season in the tournament, with both losses coming at the hands of Prestonwood Christian Academy.

Expert says Fork Mega Bass results reflect missing year classes of fish

Texas Parks and Wildlife fisheries biologist Jake Norman says he believes the final results of the Bass Champs Techron Mega Bass tournament held March 26 on Lake Fork are pretty solid evidence that fish outside the upper end of lake’s 16-24 inch slot limit aren’t near as plentiful as they once were.

Outdoors Briefs

Lee Livesay of Longview was the lone Texan among the Top 20 finishers in the 53rd Bassmaster Classic held March 24-26 on the Tennessee River in Knoxville. Livesay, 38, finished 15th among 55 qualifiers. He earned $15,000.
