Tigers take 2nd in Dallas Mavericks tournament

The Mount Pleasant High School Varsity Tigers took 2nd place in the Dallas Mavericks tournament this weekend. They went into the Championship game on Saturday 4-0 defeating Carrollton Creekview 62-38, Wylie 53-40, McKinney Boyd 45-44, and CE King 55-53.

Lady Devils fall to Martins Mill; Devils roll past Lindale

The Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils both played at home for the first time in the young basketball season Tuesday night as the Lady Devils met Martins Mill and the Devils took on Lindale.

NTCC Rodeo finishes Fall season

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo has concluded the Fall Season for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region with a trip to the Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas November 9-11.

Lady Bulldogs start basketball season 1-1; Bulldogs fall to McLeod

Harts Bluff returned to the hardwood last week to kickoff their second year of UIL competition. The Lady Bulldogs started their season first with a road game at Bloomburg. The Lady Cats got off to a hot start, negating Harts Bluff ’s 11-5 run in the third quarter as Bloomburg won the opener, 64-30.

State-ranked Lady Devils hold on in opener

MPHS golf plays at Mount Pleasant Country Club

Mount Pleasant High School Tiger golf played their last tournament of the fall season at the Mount Pleasant Invitational on Monday, November 6 with the Tigers shooting 370 as a team. Leading the way for the Tigers was Jacob Baker with a 73 which tied him for 3rd place overall.

While the season didn’t go as hoped for Mount Pleasant volleyball, the Lady Tigers still drew attention from the 155A coaches, attention that was rewarded with the recent announcement of the all-district team earlier this week. Named to the first team for the Lady Tigers was Jordan Batchelor.
