The significance of Tuesday’s Mount Pleasant- Longview game wasn’t lost on anyone in attendance. It wasn’t going to officially solidify a district title for either team, but the winner would have a leg up in the race.

MPJH 8th grade Lady Tigers win district

The Mount Pleasant Junior High 8A Lady Tiger basketball team won the Junior High District Championship for the second time, going undefeated in district for two years in a row.

Harts Bluff teams win Homecoming tilts, battle for playoff positioning

Harts Bluff Early College High School celebrated Homecoming Friday, with the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs hosting Detroit in the hopes of sending the Bulldog Gymnasium crowd home happy as well as getting one step closer to their first ever UIL playoff berths.

Mount Pleasant High School swimmers advance to regionals

The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Swim Team competed at the district meet in Texarkana on Saturday, January 27. MPHS will send four swimmers in five events to the regional meet at the New Caney ISD Natatorium on February 9-10.

CH teams win Homecoming games, roll past Harmony

Last Friday was a happy Homecoming at Chapel Hill as royalty was crowned and the Red Devils and Lady Devils picked up district wins on the night. The Lady Devils withstood an early test from a game Quitman squad and pulled away in the second half for a 42-26 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
