Tiger track teams finish weather-shortened MP Relays in top three

Mount Pleasant looked to be good hosts as the district invited 11 other schools to Sam Parker Field for Thursday’s annual Mount Pleasant Relays. Mother Nature had other plans as lightning in the area forced the end of the event before the conclusion of the 400 meter dash.

MPHS Tiger Powerlifters qualify for Regionals

After four meets, the Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Powerlifting team has qualified seven lifters for Regionals. MPHS competes in Region 3 Division 1 which encompasses all 5A and 6A high schools in the Northeast Texas area.

The Mount Pleasant Tigers, after finishing second in 15-5A, looked to shake that away and make what they hoped would be a lengthy trip through the 5A playoffs.
