Tigers get two key wins to remain in baseball playoff race

The Mount Pleasant varsity baseball team picked up two key District 10-5A victories last week to remain in contention for a playoff spot. The task won’t be easy, however, as Coach Tommy Stewart’s Tigers must face the tops two teams in the league this week to finish off the district campaign.

Lady Tigers finish season with back-to-back wins

The Mount Pleasant Lady Tiger softball team finished off their 2025 campaign in winning fashion as they defeated Marshall and Jacksonville last week. The two victories put Coach Jeremy Tarrant’s squad in fifth place at 6-8 in the tough nine-team District 105A and 15-14-1 overall.

Harts Bluff’s Gonzalez punches ticket to state

The Harts Bluff’s high school track & field team was reduced to just one member as junior Alexis Gonzales punched her ticket to the UIL State Track & Field Championships last week by placing second in the high jump event at the Class 2A, Region 2 meet held in Springtown at a height of 5-2.

Harts Bluff girls’ basketball team heading for nationals

A group of local girls recently made history when they became the first group in Harts Bluff to make it to nationals in Little Dribblers.“We are excited and glad to be able to represent our community with pride and plan on bringing the trophy home to HB high school next week,” said Coach King.
