Lady Rebels fall in seeding game, bi-district round

The Rivercrest Lady Rebels found themselves needing an extra district game to determine their playoff seeding. After finishing tied for second place with Detroit, the Lady Rebels and Lady Eagles traveled to Paris Trinity Christian for a game to determine seeding for the bi-district round.

Harts Bluff celebrates first-ever Homecoming

Harts Bluff’s first-ever Homecoming Princess and Prince are Perla Solorio and Jose Garcia. Solorio is the daughter of Karla Reyes and Paul Reyes. Garcia is the son of Jose Garcia and Maria Calixto. The school’s first-ever Homecoming Queen and King are Anay Solorio and Cristian Eduardo de Santiago.

Lady Red Devils fall to DeKalb in bi-district

The Chapel Hill Lady Red Devils are accustomed to not only reaching the playoffs, but making deep runs once they get there. The team is routinely battle-tested in district play in a district that includes perennial powerhouses Winnsboro and Mount Vernon.

Tigers stymie Bobcats on Senior Night, take 2nd in District

It took nearly a game and a half to determine the outcome of the last matchup between Mount Pleasant and Hallsville on the hardwood, but back on their home floor and in front of a sellout crowd, the Tigers made sure everyone in the gym knew who the best team on the floor was.

While Mount Pleasant pitcher/outfielder Evan Grissom enjoyed his visit to National Park College – so much so that he signed there – he admitted it wasn’t only the school and its facilities or its coaches that helped make that decision.

MPHS Bass Fishing Team competes on Lake Tyler

The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team continued its season in the first tournament of the spring semester at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Tyler on February 12.
