MP Youth Football Camp July 11-13

The Mount Pleasant football program is doing its part to build up the “#Family.” The annual Mount Pleasant Tiger Youth Football Camp will take place from 1-3 p.m. July 11-13 at Sam Parker Field. The camp is for kindergarten-eighth grade students.

Rebel football camp June 27-28

Future classes of Rivercrest Rebels will get the opportunity to roam The Swamp and learn or hone up on the fundamentals during the annual Rivercrest football camp. The camp is for incoming 2nd-8th graders and will take place June 27-28.

The Mount Pleasant High School Fishing Team recently celebrated the end of a great season with a banquet honoring all of the team members and boat captains for 21-22. Each team member left with a new rod and a bag full of tackle.

Work4College Program returns for 9th summer

For the 9th consecutive year, NTCC is hosting the summer Work4College program. Over 10-weeks, students in the program have the opportunity to work in 27 different areas across 5 different campuses to earn income for their future NTCC education.

The NTCC Career and Transfer Team will host a FAFSA Day event on Tuesday, June 21. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in BT 111. Staff will be available to assist students with completing their FAFSA application, so please bring parent(s) and student 2020 W2s and tax returns.

The Mount Pleasant 7-on-7 football team hosted Texas High and Sulphur Springs in action Monday evening. The Tigers tied Texas High, 21-21, and won over Sulphur Springs, 14-7. Mount Pleasant hosted Pleasant Grove Tuesday.

The Mount Pleasant Tigers had a presence at a 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament for the first time in over 10 years this past weekend in Tyler and went 2-1 in their three games. The Tigers edged Lufkin, 19-18 in their tournament opener.
