The Harts Bluff Bulldogs faced off with the James Bowie Pirates Friday night for the regular season finale with the Pirates coming out on top by a score of 41-27. The loss set the Bulldogs at 6-6 on the season and in the 4th seed spot for the playoffs.

Eighteen MPHS Lady Tiger Powerlifters qualify for Regionals

After five meets, the Mount Pleasant High School Lady Tiger Powerlifting team has qualified 18 lifters for the Regional meet, almost double from last season. MPHS competes in Region 3 Division 1 which encompasses all 5A and 6A high schools in the Northeast Texas area.

The Mount Pleasant High School UIL Academic team took 2nd place team honors at the annual Hallsville Tournament of Hearts on Saturday, February 14. In addition to numerous individual medals, MPHS also took home six 1st and 2nd place team plaques.

Mount Pleasant High School senior Emmanuel “EMan” Harris became the first recipient of a scholarship honoring Jamarion “Jo Jo” Brown at the Tigers vs. Tyler High basketball game on Tuesday, February 17. JoJo played basketball, football, and ran track for the Tigers.

Tiger Powerlifting wins Hallsville Meet

The MPHS Tiger Powerlifters took home 1st Place at the Hallsville on Thursday, February 11. All Tigers medaled and senior Bruno DeLeon won the Most Outstanding Lifter award. The Tigers final regular season meet is February 26 at MPHS where they will be attempting to qualify for the Regional meet.
