Devils win 2 on road last week, kick off 2nd road trip this week

The Chapel Hill Red Devils hit the road over their Thanksgiving break and returned home with two wins to go with their Thanksgiving leftovers. The Devils took on Sabine in the Martin’s Mill shootout, shooting 48 percent as a team on their way to a 67-47 win over the Cardinals.

Lady Rebels 2nd at Bland Invitational; fall to Saltillo, Chisum

The Rivercrest Lady Rebels traveled to Merit over the weekend for the 28th annual Bland Invitational Tournament, going 2-1 and finishing second in the tournament. Rivercrest opened against Quinlan Ford, going toe to toe with the 4A Lady Panthers and holding on for a 55-50 win to open their tournament.

Kelley’s performance against Quinlan Ford -- where she finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals -- garnered her the nomination. The other nine nominees for Week 2 of the season were Bailey Henderson of Van Alstyne, Reyli Owens of Fruitvale, Kya Smith of Lubbock Coronado, Jalynn Bristol of Holliday, Logan Heard of Idalou, Aaliyah Chavez of Lubbock Monterey, Sophiya Bustillos of El Paso Riverside, Maegan Reibel of Boerne Geneva and Neno Anisiobi of Houston Westside.

Hawks stay undefeated with big win over Tyler Heat

The CHAAMP Hawks Varsity Men’s basketball team defended their home floor in Winfield on Friday night with a hard fought 63-57 victory over the Tyler Heat. The Heat, a rival homeschool squad and district opponent, jumped out to an early 4 point led to begin the contest.

Red Devils fall at Lindale; travel to San Antonio Saturday

The Chapel Hill Red Devils hit the road Tuesday night, traveling to Lindale after a successful season opener against Martin’s Mill Saturday. Unfortunately, a hot-shooting Lindale team held off a late charge from the Devils to pick up a 56-46 win over Chapel Hill.
