MPHS golfers prepare for district

The Mount Pleasant High School golf teams continued preparing for the district tournament over the weekend. The Tigers played in the Twisted 54 Tournament in Longview and Gladewater on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1.
The Lady Red Devils traveled to Avery and came away with a huge 23-6 victory that included a Molly Brady Solo Home Run.

CHHS Tennis Team shines at Melissa Tournament

Fifteen members of the Chapel Hill High School tennis team traveled to Melissa to compete in the Melissa tournament, facing off against teams from larger schools. Despite the tough competition, nine players earned medals, showcasing their skill and determination.

MPHS Tiger Powerlifters qualify for Regionals

After five meets, the Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Powerlifting team has qualified 4 lifters for the Regional meet. MPHS competes in Region 3 Division 1 which encompasses all 5A and 6A high schools in the Northeast Texas area.

Outdoors WriterThe list of lakes to kick out Legacy Lunkers for the Toyota ShareLunker program is a big one that continues to blossom. To date, 79 lakes are responsible for the 676 fish over 13 pounds put on loan to Texas Parks and Wildlife’s spawning and genetics research program since 1986.

The Chapel Hill Red Devils saw their 2024-25 campaign come to a close in the Class 3A, Region 2 finals in Kaufman on Friday night as the Paradise Panthers rallied in the fourth period for a 37-31 victory.

Mount Pleasant’s Corden Craig captured the gold medal in the varsity boys shot put event at the Tiger Relays last week. The distance he won with was not know by press time nor were the complete meet results.
