5 MP athletes sign LOIs Wednesday

Mount Pleasant celebrated five athletes who signed letters of intent to continue playing their sports at the collegiate level during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon at Willie Williams Gymnasium in front of friends, family, teammates and coaches.

Lady Tiger softball receives all-district awards

The Mount Pleasant softball program was once again well-represented on the 15-5A all-district team, with 12 players named to the team. Pitcher/infielder Conlee Zachry was named co-Utility Player of the Year in the district.

Mount Pleasant High School athletes named to Academic All-State swim team

Four Mount Pleasant High School swimmers including seniors Reese Ball, Camdon Johnson, Jack Welborn, and junior Sophie Greco have been named to the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Academic All-State team. To be nominated, student athletes must be juniors or seniors and must have an overall GPA of at least 3.75.

MPHS Tiger Dolls select new officers and sergeants

The MPHS Tiger Dolls held tryouts for Officer and Sergeant positions on Friday, May 5 in the Tiger Doll room at Mount Pleasant High School. The Tiger Doll Officers for the 2023-2024 school year are Captain Genevieve Rubio, Senior Lieutenant Makayla Spigner, and Junior Lieutenant Jalyssa Aguilar.
