Tiger Baseball skid continues, playoff hopes still alive

The Mount Pleasant Tigers dropped two games last week to push their losing streak to three but with three games left to play, Mount Pleasant’s playoff goals remain intact. The Tigers fell to Hallsville at home 12-5 before losing at Longview on Thursday 7-2.

Area champs!! Twelve Tiger athletes qualify for Regionals

The Mount Pleasant Tiger Track team continued their historic run on Wednesday as they competed in the Area Meet held in Whitehouse and came home as Area Champions. Mount Pleasant posted 105 points on the day to take the title followed by Whitehouse and Tyler both with 78 points.

Chapel Hill track sends 8 to area meet

Eight Chapel Hill track athletes will advance to the area meet after placing in the top four at the District 13-3A track meet, held last week at Mineola’s Meredith Memorial Stadium. Also running at the meet were Mineola, Winnsboro, Quitman, Mount Vernon, Harmony and Winona.

Rivercrest sends 24 athletes to area round

RIvercrest was one of the first area schools to hold their area track meet, and will be well-represented in this week’s area meet in Cooper. In all, 24 Rebel and Lady Rebel athletes will advance to Wednesday’s area track meet.

Lady Red Devils split last two games, sit in 3rd place in standings

The Chapel Hill softball team split their last two district games in a very competitive 13-3A district race. The Lady Red Devils defeated Quitman thanks to two late runs in the sixth, 3-1. The teams were tied at 0-0 and 1-1 until the sixth inning.

Red Devils split games with Quitman, MV

The Chapel Hill Red Devils split their last two games as the team competes in the midst of a strong district race. In their game Friday, the Red Devils took a lead and held off a last-inning comeback attempt to beat Quitman, 5-3. The two teams combined for six errors in the contest – three each.
