The Euterpean Club of Mt. Pleasant gathered in the country home of Nancy Alexander on April 21, 2022 at 3:45 PM to enjoy a program of music, “Singing Country Music”.
At the last meeting of the Mount Pleasant City Council, three members of the Mount Pleasant Housing Authority Board of Commissioners were reinstated for new terms. Roy Martin, Bobby Rice, and Kevin Rose will continue to serve Mount Pleasant on this board until June 30 next year.
A lot full of RV campers have taken up residence in Mt. Pleasant this week as 15 families of volunteers from Volunteer Christian Builders are in town to renovate some old housing into new apartments for moms and children that are looking for a fresh start and a place to call home.

MPISD held a car seat safety check and provided safety inspections at the Child Development Center on April 20. The technicians demonstrated correct methods for the installation of car seats. This was a collaborative effort by the Mount Pleasant ISD Police Department, the Texas Department of Transportation-Atlanta Office, the Texas DPS, the Texas A&M Ag Extension-Bowie County office, and the Child Development Center Safety Technicians.
The NTCC Career and Transfer Center will host a Transfer Panel on Thursday, April 28 from 12:30-1:00 p.m. in BT 111B. The panel is designed for students wanting to transfer to a university. They will have the opportunity to meet with former students Daisy Banda and Andrew Juarez, who will share their personal transfer experiences.
