E.C. Brice Elementary inducts students into National Elementary Honor Society

Twenty-seven E.C. Brice Elementary School 4th graders became members of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) as the Brice Chapter held their induction ceremony on Tuesday, October 24. Students and audience members listened to an explanation of what it means to be a member of NEHS.

Pilot club donates to Communities in Schools

Euterpean Club meets

The Euterpean Club of Mt. Pleasant gathered at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the lovely home of Frances Beck to enjoy a program of music, “Side by Side,” featuring duets performed by our members. Beck was the most gracious hostess. Euterpean club members were the most gracious co hostesses.

Arrests

There are 133 inmates in jail with 115 males and 18 females. Since Oct. 23, the following have been booked into the jail: Oct. 24 • DiegoOrtiz,19of Hope, AR., was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Marihuana. Oct. 25 • TroyL.Blackwell,50of Talco, was arrested for Theft. • MiguelA.
