Outdoors Writer The full field of 56 anglers is now set for 2024 Bassmaster Classic on March 2224 at Grand Lake in Oklahoma, and several Texans are headed to the big show. Among them are Lee Livesay of Longview, Clark Wendlandt of Leander and Ben Milliken of New Caney.

Avoid driving under the influence

Celebrations frequently involve entertaining guests or heading out for nights on the town to enjoy the company of others. Often food and beverages are part of the fun, and that includes alcoholic beverages, which may flow a little more readily during festive occasions.

NTCC partners with TRMC for specialized RN training

Five Registered Nurses (RNs) from Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) (pictured above) completed the 8-week NTCC Continuing Education (CE) Course RNSG1075- Clinical Preceptor Training Program.

MLK commemorative celebration scheduled

A commemorative celebration honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at Pilgrim’s Community Center at Oaklawn Park Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. Honorees include J.C. White, Lesia Lewis and Roy Henry. Pilgrim’s complex manager Rafael Boyd will be speaking.

Free GED, ESL classes start Jan. 22

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.
