On Saturday, Sept. 24th the Titus County Fair kicked off with the Agricultural Public Speaking Contest. The contest was hosted by Chapel Hill. There were six Junior division speakers and 19 Senior division speakers. For this contest, these students have to do a lot of preparation so they can not only get their point across through their speech but also because they have to stay under a time limit.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will hold a fullscale emergency response and campus evacuation drill on Friday, October 7th, 2022. The drill will include participants from local, state, and federal authorities, as well as local hospitals and other first responders. The drill will commence at approximately 9am and will be completed sometime around the noon hour.

Acts 4:31, “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” (NKJV) I absolutely love team ministry and the power of unity. When you get a team of like-minded people together, full of the power of the Holy Spirit, there is nothing in this world that can stop them. The two main words of Acts 4:31 are the words: they and all. It starts off and says “they prayed”. This means the entire group, the whole crew, every person was praying, 100%. The Bible says where there is unity there is a commanded blessing. Then Acts 4:31 says “the place where they were was shaken.” When you get a group of people together, praying in unity, that place will be shaken. That ministry, that business, that church, that home group, that outreach ministry, that marriage, that family you get the picture. Then it says they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Who was filled? They all were filled, every last one of them. Then it says that “they spoke the word of God with boldness.” It was not just one preacher who got up and spoke. No, they all spoke the word of God with boldness because there is strength in a group of people bond together in unity. Each and every one of them started walking in the love of God and sharing the gospel.
