Todd Daniel has been named principal of Chapel Hill Junior High.Daniel joins The Hill with 25 years of experience in education, all in our area, including 13 years at Harts Bluff ISD as a Teacher/Coach and 12 years at Mount Pleasant ISD as teacher/coach, assistant principal, and head principal.

Hanselman reels in best Elite finish, Livesay and Combs net Top 25s

Outdoors WriterRay Hanselman, Jr., of Del Rio was the top finishing Texan in the Bassmaster Elite Series event held recently on Wheeler Lake in Alabama. Hanselman weighed in 77 pounds over four days and finished runner-up to tournament winner Cliff Prince of Palatka, Florida. He won $35,000.

On Saturday, June 22nd, at the Pleasant Springs Nursing Home in Mount Pleasant, joy was in the air as friends and family gathered. Five generations within a family excitedly chattered, waiting to take pictures, sing a very special birthday song, and cut the cake for a soon-to-be centenarian.

Special election set on November 5 for Mount Pleasant
