On Tuesday, July 30th, the Mount Pleasant city council convened with the public to discuss the upcoming election.There were no decisions or votes, but many residents took to the podium to express their opinionsand concerns about the charter election in November.

Lawrence Lee of Tolar with a 13.04-pound beauty caught on July 19 at Lake J.B. Thomas near Snyder. Lee has caught two other bass over 13 pounds at the lake since January and 11 other fish between eight and 10.4 pounds since June that are documented Toyota ShareLunkers. Most were caught while fishing with guide Christian Gladfelter. (Slaunched Guide Service)
