On Tuesday, July 30th, the Mount Pleasant city council convened with the public to discuss the upcoming election.
There were no decisions or votes, but many residents took to the podium to express their opinions
and concerns about the charter election in November.
According to Attorney Lea Reams, voters can amend the charter as frequently as every two years.
