On Monday, November 25, the Mount Pleasant city council called a special agenda meeting to reverse their previous decision to cut down city employee longevity pay.This decision was an agenda item from their previous regular council meeting on Tuesday, November 19.

Though it’s been a well-known part of the community, the Titus Regional Medical Center CancerCARE clinic held a very special ribbon cutting on Tuesday, November 12.According to TRMC, it was a different company that ran the Patty and Bo Pilgrim Cancer Center last year.

MPJH band students selected for Middle School All-Region Band

Mount Pleasant Junior High School band students traveled to Pine Tree High School on Saturday, November 9 to audition for the TMEA Region IV MS/JH All-Region Band. Eight were selected for the All-Region Band, three in the Symphonic Band and five in the Concert Band.

The MPHS Ag Mechanics and Engineering classes recently collaborated to build a project for the MPISD Administration Building. The students were tasked with creating a wall hanging depicting the MPISD logo.

MPJH students selected for All-Region Choir

Fourteen Mount Pleasant Junior High School choir students were selected for places in the UIL Junior High All-Region Choir, with three more chosen as alternates. To earn a place in the choir, each singer had to learn three selections and sing parts of each in a blind audition.
