A combination of widespread power outages, thunderstorm damage and dangerous summer heat left thousands of Northeast Texas residents without access to basic necessities last week. Thankfully, Northeast Texas Community College was able to assist a few of them by providing a safe, cool place to stay.

Parchman earns mascot win

Chapel Hill High School and NTCC alumna Jessie Parchman will be starting off her senior year at Lyon College with the first national championship win for the school mascot. On June 22, Parchman attended The Dance Effect Competition where she brought home the High Gold award and first place Character division with a unique mascot dance routine.
