During the Mount Pleasant city council meeting on Tuesday, January 21, the council and Mayor Tracy Craig approved for May 3, 2025 to be the election of the Mayor and two city council seats.
A greatly discussed item on the agenda was the rental fee for the Mount Pleasant Civic Center. This was brought up as a request from the Titus County Fair Association, asking to cut it from $13,000 to $6,500.
