Mount Pleasant’s Chism and Beard Selected All-Region

The Tigers and Lady Tigers each had a player named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region Team for 2021-2022 season. Junior guard Payton Chism was selected for the second consecutive year as he led the Tigers to their third straight appearance in the UIL Regional Tournament.

Lady Bulldogs fall to Lady Rebels

Pretty soon, the matchup between the Rivercrest Lady Rebels and the Harts Bluff Lady Bulldogs will likely be a district game. The two teams got an early look at each other this past Friday in Rivercrest.

Tigers withstand wind, counterattacks to hold off Midlothian; took on Whitehouse Friday in regional quarters

Facing a strong, nearly incessant wind and a stout Midlothian attack, the Mount Pleasant soccer team anchored itself in its defense. That defense stood tall for more than an hour of game time to make sure an early goal stood up and pushed the Tigers to the regional quarterfinals.

Listed at 5’10, 150 lbs., Chapel Hill guard Vincent Rodriguez may not be the biggest player on the basketball court, but Red Devil fans know when he’s out there, he’s going to play with heart and is a brave player, unafraid of the challenges each game may present.

Red Devils 3rd; Lady Devils 4th at MV Tiger Relays

The Chapel Hill track teams traveled to Mount Vernon for the annual Tiger Relays. Joining the Red Devils and Lady Red Devils were the host TIgers, New Diana and Pittsburg (girls only). The Red Devils finished third behind Mount Vernon and New Diana.
