Lady Brahmas honored on All-District teams

The Pewitt Lady Brahmas were honored by the coaches of District 14-3A during the release of the All-District team, announced last week.

Taliyah Brown was named Co-Newcomer of the Year by the district coaches.

Named to the All-District first team were Ashtyn Boyd and Makenzie Bottoms.

Named to the second team were Aubrey Neuman, Amyia HIll and Makayla “K.K.” Jackson.

Honorable mention players were Natalie Cobb, Ja’mesea Gilmore, Noemy Martinez and Jennalee McCollum.

Academic All-District team members were Boyd, Bottoms, McCollum, Cobb, Martinez, Gilmore, Jackson, Brown, Neuman, Jaci Caplinger, Lindsey Mackay and Hally Taylor.

The Lady Brahmas finished 17-15 and will graduate only two seniors from this past season’s squad.
