Rivercrest’s Joseph Roquez and Harts Bluff’s Johnathan Diaz race to the finish line during the varsity boys’ 800 meter run Wednesday afternoon. Both will advance to the area track meet; Roquez finished second and Diaz finished third.
Rivercrest’s varsity boys claimed the district title at the meet. The Lady Rebels finished second in the varsity girls division and both Harts Bluff varsity teams finished fifth.

The upcoming 15-16 2A Area Track Meet will have a distinct local flavor.
Both local schools in District 16-2A, Harts Bluff and Rivercrest, competed well at the district meet and each will send a contingent of athletes to the area meet next week in Cooper.
Maud was the host school but because their stadium does not have a track, the meet was held in DeKalb.
