You can count on one thing for certain – Texas weather can change in a split second! As I’m writing this, Texas is shivering with sub-zero wind chills. Hot as the dickens one day, freezing the next. Same with storms, and we’ve had several humdingers of storms in East Texas recently.

Odds are, I have said these words here in this space before, probably more than once. The holidays can be hard. Amidst the fa-la-la-la-la and the merriment of the season, not everyone is filled with the Christmas spirit. Life has its challenges.

“They err, who thinks Santa Claus comes down through the chimney; he really enters through the heart.” — Paul M. Ell Santa Claus is real. No, honest, I saw him. He had a jolly chuckle and a big smile. But no red suit. He was wearing blue overalls and carrying a jacket slung over his shoulder.

The longest dash

I was reading an article by Dr. Jim Denison recently memorializing actor and comedian Bob Saget. He died ten months ago in January, and now his gravestone has been set. I remember Saget from TV as I was growing up. Always funny, he filled my nostalgia fix and I loved watching him.
