I do a lot of driving throughout the area. Every town seems to have at least one historical marker. Each marker has its own significance. Some markers, such as the one at the city park in Daingerfield, were erected to pay homage to the founder of the town or community.

Matthew 7:7-8 will move you forward into your destiny. This verse can be broken down into three parts. You will notice that the three parts start with each of these verbs: ask, seek and knock. Then each verb is followed up by a promise. The Lord loves movement.

It could be my imagination, or maybe my frame of mind, but it seems like there has been so much grief in the little orb that I call my world this week. So many people are hurting from loss, dealing with sickness, and battling the seemingly endless plague of Covid.

There is a Christian music song that has the lyric “complexity haunts me for I am two men.” It seems to me today that all of us have a little bit of that in us, whether we will admit it or not. One of my kids had a social media post once that really made me stop and think.
