Real peace

So much is going in our world right now, and it would be easy to be afraid.

I think about my little grandchildren, and the tendency is to worry. Today, I heard of a friend who is now home sick with all the symptoms of this mess, and it is easy to worry about her. I think about little Zadie Kaye and my friend Joni Haldeman, and all of the rest of my friends who fight illness daily, and there is a natural worry. My dad is 80 years old and has heart problems, so ya, there is some worry. I myself am in the “risk” category, with an immune system hampered by a recent brain surgery, and I ask myself, do I really want to go out to eat?

You see, my mawmaw told me as a child that “the last days” have been happening for centuries, and whether we are in them or not, there is nothing we can do to change it. Yes, we can pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 and we can get down on our knees and beseech God for brighter days and hope for our children, but my friend, when He is ready to come, He will come.
