Jana V Wood, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born May 14, 1939, in Tyler, Texas, to parents Justus and Earl Cason.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, TX, and participated in many activities until her health issues started. Mrs. Wood lived in Tyler, Mt. Vernon, and finally Mt. Pleasant during her life. Mrs. Wood worked at Texas Utilities Mining Co, Mt. Pleasant, for years, and then she and her husband traveled.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents and one sibling. She is survived by John Wood, Dawn Padgett of Cason, TX, Dana Wisinger of Cookville, TX, and grandchildren Adam Davis, Alex Davis, and Trey Wisinger.
There will be no services for Mrs. Wood.
